Was Kakashi Teaching Chidori To Sasuke A Huge Mistake?

Kakashi is without question one of most bad ass characters within the Naruto World. Arguably Konoha's best overall ninja, Kakashi has proven himself  time and time again as a resource and powerful man, through the successful difficult mission he has competed over the years. Kakashi's ability to copy Ninjutsu from others gave him the trademark of  "Copy cat ninja" or " The man who copied over 1000 Justu" Despite his huge arsenal of copy Ninjutsu, Kakashi has one signature move that he developed himself.

Chidori, translated means 1000 birds, is a lighting based jab is considered if not the highest level of Chakra concentration.  Kakashi eventually teaches this to one of his disciples Sasuke, a ninja that will eventually turn rogue. Now i always wondered how well would Sasuke would fair in the series without Chidori.

Naruto (Part 1)

We first see Sasuke use the Chidori during the Chunin exam against Gaara. However once they had the rematch in the forest where Gaara was in his initial Jinchuuriki state, no other Jutsu Sasuke used besides Chdori would have been effective. Sasuke still got wrecked but would have gotten wrecked even worse without it.

Naruto Vs Sasuke in the Valley Of The End.  Naruto would mostly likely have  won due to having a powerful move the Rasengan. So having Chidori may have played a part in his win.

Naruto Shippuden (Part 2)

Sasuke's reintroduction into the series started with a bang. We were able see him use his new innovative variations of Chidori, such as Chidori Stream and Chidori Senbon. Sasuke  also developed new ways of adding Chidori into his fighting style.

Sasuke vs Deidara is where Chidori shined the most for Sasuke. Dedeira being a earth style bomb user had Sasuke cornered with clay bombs and was able to inject many micro bomb filaments into his body. THE ONLY REASON WHY HE SURVIVED SUCH  DANGERS WAS THANKS TO CHIDORI! Sasuke discovered early on in the battle that his bombs could be defused with lighting based moves. So every time Deidara would attach a bomb onto Sasuke, Sasuke would just use Chidori stream and nullify it all.

So many if he hadn't learned Chidori he would have been a died man.

For the rest of Shippuden, Chidori gets overthrown with overpowered moves such as Susanno and Amaterasu. Though he still uses it fairly often.

Conclusion

I personally believe Sasuke would have done satisfactory even if he he hadn't learned Chidori. Sasuke fights would have been more difficult without a doubt and probably had to work much harder for the victories. The only thing that bugs me is that Kakashi probably gets a bad rep for teaching a killer
a killer move (No Pun Intended)

What do you all think? Should Kakashi have never taught Chidori to Sasuke?
