A long time ago while having a chat with a friend of mine I asked him how much anime he was currently watching. I remember him giving me a a number that was somewhere the around the 10's.
Stunned i joking ask him if he was planning on watching every since anime series known to man.
He responded with "Nah thats to hard" and i thought about it for a bit. Is it possible to watch every anime that is out there? Well here is what i found out.
First we gotta calculate the total time we have. Lets say you were able to watch 24 hours a day straight. No bathroom breaks, no need to eat or drink and no distractions. Since every anime episode excluding commercials and such are around 20 mins averaged out. That means each hour would contain 3 episode each. Multiplying our total anime watched per hour by our daily time gives us a total of a whooping 72 episodes per day! That's means in a month you'll total 2,160 and in a year you get a grand total of 26,280! Which is enough for one person to finish it all in their natural lifespan.
Also someone please tell me my math is wrong because i can't even believe those numbers.
So.
1 Day : 72 Episodes
1 Week: 504
1 Month: 2,160
1 Year: 26,280
Currently this whole statement unfortunately is only possible in a utopia world. If we jump back into reality there are numerous reasons why this most unlikely won't work. First is our priorities meaning our job, gym, school, relationships etc... these already take up more than half the time and make us exhausted sometimes. Even if you plan to become a anime hermit and manage to get donations from kind individuals, you''ll most likely stop of boredom. Not every anime will be to your cup of tea, that is a fact.
This may sound like a dream for some to watch as much anime as possible and don't get me wrong I love and support anime! but even if you have a fierce passion for anime i can't see it working because we are human and its hard, because we seek other thing as well.
Well that wraps up this topic
What do you peeps think?
Do you think its possible?
